No matter how good of a cook you are, you’ve probably experienced that burned, blackened yuck on the bottom of your pots and pans–your nice, stainless pots and pans. (Remember how pretty they were when you first got them? Yeah.)
Well, you can’t scrape or scrub them, so how the heck do you get all that black off?
Removing Black from Stainless Steel Cookware
1. Pour equal parts of water and white vinegar into the pot or pan so that it just covers the burned area and boil.
2. Once the mixture comes to a boil, use a rubber spatula to loosen the bits from the bottom.
3. Pour off the liquid and burned parts and repeat steps one and two as many times as needed until the burned area is mostly gone.
4. Soak the pot or pan and then use a non-abrasive scrubber to get the remaining parts off.
