How To Play The Stuffed Turkey Game
The “Guess What The Turkey Is Stuffed With” game is a game we made up and ended up being a fun game for all ages — from preschool to grandparents!
Everyone seems to love this simple game that you can make with supplies you already have at home.
It’s even great for teen games if you get creative with the turkey stuffing items.
(My teen thought this was a hilarious game, but you have to put some unexpected and funny stuffing items in there to surprise people!)
What is the stuffed turkey game?
The stuffed turkey game is a it is a touch and feel guessing game and hilarious party game for kids and adults.
Blindfolded (or without looking), game players place their hand in the turkey “stuffing” and touch an item. Then, they see if they can guess they item are touching without looking.
Then, they pull the game item out of the turkey. If the player guessed correctly, they keep the item. If they’re incorrect, the item gets “stuffed” back in the turkey.
You may be familiar with other games like the party game Guess What’s In The Box, sensory feel boxes, Touch and Feel Game, blind box or hand in box game.
PARTY TIP: If you’re having a Thanksgiving party, this is a fun activity for the kids’ table at Thanksgiving or for things to do after Thanksgiving dinner.

DIY Turkey Stuffing Game Supplies
To play the Stuffed Turkey Game, you’ll need:
- A Turkey Hat like this (optional, but funny for game play and to keep with the stuffed turkey theme)
- Small trinkets and household to “stuff” the turkey with
- Clue cards (optional, see *alternative game play rules)
Stuffed Turkey Game Rules & Game Play
1. Gather items from around the house to “stuff” the turkey with. Place items inside the turkey (hat).
Then, I placed our turkey on a tray to make it look like we were serving Thanksgiving dinner, which everyone thought was really funny.
GAME NOTE: If you are using this turkey hat for the game like we did, it is not very deep. We had to choose small items from around the house so they could all fit in there. You can also use a turkey gift bag or even just a pillowcase to play the game. It just has to be something you can’t see through.
2. The first player, without looking, places their hand in the turkey “stuffing” and touches an item. Then, they see if they can guess the item are touching without looking.
3. Next, they pull the game item out of the turkey. If the player guessed correctly, they keep the item in front of them.
If they’re incorrect, the item gets “stuffed” back in the turkey. If the item is placed back inside the turkey, be sure to have the player mix the items up inside the turkey before passing it to the next player.
4. Turkey is passed to the next player, who again, without looking, tries to identify one object.
5. Process is repeated until the turkey is unstuffed (all the items are gone).
6. Person with the most items in front of them at end of game wins a prize.
