Easy Warm Blue Cheese Dip Step By Step Instructions and Recipe FAQs
This is an easy warm blue cheese dip for chips, crackers, vegetables, green apples, or even to go with chicken wings! It makes one of the best party dip recipes!
Step 1: Toast the nuts for the dip recipe.
You can make toasted nuts in the oven, but for this recipe I find it easy to just toast the walnuts in a pan over medium heat and then make the dip in the same pan.
Step 2: Add the blue cheese with cream cheese.
Add the cream cheese and blue cheese to the same pan where you toasted the nuts and stir until the cheese is creamy and melted and the nuts are mixed in.
You will need to stir frequently so that the cheese doesn’t burn.
Step 3: Spread the blue cheese mixture into a dish.
I usually use a small casserole dish or small baking dish, but you can spread the cheese mixture into whatever serving dish you like (especially if you’re not making this as a baked blue cheese spread).
Just spoon the mixture into the dish and spread it out.
Step 4: Add the blue cheese dip topping.
Toast the bread crumbs (with the rest of the ingredients — garlic and parsley added) in a pan.
Add the toasted bread crumb topping to the blue cheese mixture. Spread evenly over the top of the blue cheese and cream cheese dip.
RECIPE TIP: After assembling (putting the topping on), you can also bake this blue cheese with cream cheese dip at 350°F for 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbling around the edges and the bread crumbs are slightly browned. I make it either way.
Serve this tasty dip while warm.
Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
