Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Food for a Kids’ Holiday Party

Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Dinner Party for Kids

Have you ever made Charlie Brown Thanksgiving food from the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving cartoon? Making a Peanuts Thanksgiving feast is also a fun Thanksgiving activity for kids during the holidays.

Fun Thanksgiving for Kids

I think it’s fun when you get to introduce your kids to the cartoons that you loved during childhood and watch them develop a fondness for them, also.

For some reason, I love the part where they made the popcorn in A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and it’s one of those things that stuck with me.

(It was sooooo funny to me.)

And then I thought, wouldn’t it be fun to make the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving food, watch the cartoon, and eat the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving meal with my kid?

(I mean, what kid doesn’t love to have treats for lunch?)

We decided to host a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Dinner Party!

Another fun thing to do is make this a kids’ activity if you’re hosting Thanksgiving at your house.

After the meal and playtime, you can gather the kids around the TV and provide them with their own “Thanksgiving meal” treat while watching the cartoon!

Here are some fun Charlie Brown Thanksgiving party ideas from the movie, but you can change it up and add your own, too!

(These Thanksgiving photo props would be a lot of fun!)

PSSST: A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving class party or homeschool co-op party would be super fun, too!

What was served at the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving?

Remember for the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving food Snoopy, with his little chef’s hat, served snacks and how mad Peppermint Patty got when she realized that they weren’t having a real Thanksgiving meal?

What did they eat at the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving?

The Charlie Brown Thanksgiving menu included:

  • Jelly Beans
  • Pretzels
  • Toast and Butter
  • Popcorn
  • Ice Cream Sundaes

Although you don’t see Snoopy make the ice cream dishes (or put them on the plate), on the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving table there are cups that look like ice cream sundaes (with whipped cream and cherries) sitting on the table during Linus speech.

How long is Charlie Brown Thanksgiving?

How Long Is A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving? A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving movie runs at around 1 hour and 15 minutes for the full movie. It might be a little long for squirmy littles, so have some Charlie Brown Thanksgiving coloring pages or blocks on hand so they don’t distract the older kids during the movie.

How Do You Make A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving?

For Your Charlie Brown Thanksgiving:

For each plate, put a slice of buttered toast, popcorn, a handful of jelly beans, and also pretzels.

Since they have ice cream on the tables in the cartoon, it would also be fun to let the kids make their own ice cream sundaes with an ice cream sundae bar.

We love this kids’ ice cream sundae kit.

After the cartoon and enjoying the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving feast, try reading some Charlie Brown books

was unofficially the very first Friendsgiving. The best part of his Thanksgiving is how reasonable the entire preparation is. Even if you don’t have a spotted dog to help you, the food and the decor is pretty manageable and you’ve got a fun theme. I’ll make it even simpler. Here is everything you need to know to throw the best Friendsgiving around.  Whether your cooking skills are limited to toast and popcorn, or you just don’t want to spend hours cooking up a meal just to celebrate with friends, Charlie Brown’s Thanksgiving food spread is the perfect direction to take your holiday munchies.
