This is such an easy dip recipe, but is a really cool fruit dip for a space theme party or simple eclipse party menu ideas.
If you’re having an eclipse party for kids, you can even make this as an edible craft. Kids have a lot of fun making this!
RECIPE TIP: You can make our easy fruit dip recipe or use your favorite store-bought fruit dip if you’re in a time crunch!

Eclipse Dessert Snack Board
I love this easy dessert board because you can make it last minute for your eclipse parties!
We made our solar eclipse snack board a dessert board, but you can easily make it a savory eclipse charcuterie board with meats and cheeses cut into star shapes, crackers, a savory dip (instead of our sweet eclipse dip), and vegetables cut into moon, star, and sun shapes.
CHARCUTERIE TIP: We could only find chocolate moon pies, but also get yellow moon pies if you can find them. They make a great sun and moon contrast on your board of snacks!

Solar Eclipse Bark Candy Recipe
You can make this easy bark recipe in any colors of chocolate melts, but we chose black and yellow for a solar eclipse party. If you’re having a space party, try blue, yellow, purple, and black melted chocolates.
I love how this swirled chocolate turned out in these colors. It makes a beautiful addition to your eclipse snacks board!

Chocolate Solar Eclipse Suckers (Planet Lollipops)
If you want to make these for your eclipse viewing party, you’ll definitely want to make them ahead of time because it takes a little while for the chocolate to set. (We let our suckers set overnight.)
RECIPE TIP: Definitely use that food glitter dust on the dark planet suckers, but not on the yellow eclipse side. I thought it just made the yellow look dirty and not cool.

Lunar Eclipse Lemonade Drink
We made these with our favorite lemonade recipe (or you can use store-bought lemonade if you need a quick drink).
We also made some with orange juice.
They both looked great with the black moon ice cube!
Solar Splash Kids Punch
My daughter said this solar eclipse drink was one of the most fun recipes we’ve made together, so definitely get the kids involved in making it!
The final product is really cute, so it’s a fun edible solar eclipse craft to do together, too (outside of solar eclipse party ideas).
She wants to use that food-safe glitter in everything now!
RECIPE TIP: If you need eclipse party menu ideas for adults, you can make this in to an adult beverage!

Solar Eclipse Sun Tea Recipe
This sweet tea recipe is fun because you actually make it using the sun before the eclipse happens and then have it during the eclipse watch party!
Be sure to read through all of our tips for the best way to make tea with sun, but definitely add this as a refreshing drink to your eclipse-themed food recipes!
BONUS RECIPE: Solar Salad
This isn’t specifically an eclipse themed food, but I think the contrast of the yellow and black with the corn and beans make this color perfect for an eclipse theme and call it “solar salad.”
For a solar eclipse theme menu, I would use yellow bell peppers instead of green and red to stay with the color theme for eclipse parties.
It’s one of those easy recipes that can be eaten as a side dish or for a dip with tortilla chips (which is my daughter’s favorite way to eat corn and bean salad!).
This is great if you’re looking for eclipse party menu ideas savory dishes, too.
