If you don’t want to use honey in your cinnamon butter, you can substitute powdered sugar, white sugar, or even dark brown sugar for the honey. You can eliminate honey or sugar completely, but that sweetness is really what gives the butter the taste like you get in restaurants.

You can easily convert the cinnamon butter recipe to honey butter. Combine butter, honey and salt. (Just leave out the cinnamon.) Whip until it’s a creamy honey butter.

The trick to this is to make it into a whipped cinnamon butter so that it’s nice and light and easy to spread!
Cinnamon Butter
Ingredients
- 1/4 pound 1 stick unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Allow butter to come to room temperature (until softened).
- In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. Mix with a mixer until combined and smooth.
- Serve immediately at room temperature.
- Store leftovers back in refrigerator, but allow to come to room temperature before serving again (for easy spreading).
