Noah’s Ark Rainbow Pasta

Who doesn’t love the Noah’s Ark story, right?

We have a great Noah’s Ark board book by Lucy Cousins that is no longer available. (Sorry.) My five year old frequently chooses that book for me to read to her, so we decided to make some Noah’s Ark rainbow pasta to go with the book. (If you aren’t familiar with the story, in the end God sends a rainbow to Noah and his family to let them know that he will never flood the world like that again.)

My (then) four year old really loved this recipe and book pairing. It was one of those “allowed to get messy with your food” times that kids love, and the colored pasta was a lot of un to eat!

There are many great Noah’s Ark books out there for kids, but we’ve listed some that may be of interest to you below.

Noah’s Ark Rainbow Pasta

  • 1 box spaghetti noodles
  • 4 squeezable food coloring (we used pink, blue, green and orange)
  1. Prepare noodles according to package directions.
  2. Drain and let noodles cool completely.
  3. Divide noodles into four sealable plastic bags.
  4. Squeeze a few drops of food coloring into each bag and seal. Gently squeeze the bag to mix the food coloring onto noodles.
  5. Repeat with each bag. Add additional food coloring, as needed.
  6. Place noodles in bowl and top with favorite noodle topping.
