2 Easy Thanksgiving Crock Pot Recipes For Side Dishes
Creamy corn pudding and crockpot green beans with potatoes. are my two simple sides that are my tried and true go-to recipes for Thanksgiving sides that guests still love.
If you’re looking for last-minute dinner recipes or things that go with turkey, ham sides, or roast side dishes, these are great!
Classic Crockpot Corn Pudding
This corn side dish is the classic Jiffy corn casserole that everyone loves. Plus, it’s a side that works with every meat dish (even if you’re not making Thanksgiving turkey) or is great for a vegetarian side dish.
IMPORTANT RECIPE NOTE: One thing that I’ve learned over many, many years of making this casserole with corn is that the cook time depends on your specific crockpot. This recipe cooks faster in my crock pot than it does in my moms. I recommend doing a trial run of this recipe before your Thanksgiving party or harvest party so you can adjust the cook time to your particular slow cooker.
To make slow cooker cream corn pudding, you’ll need:
- Sour cream or cream cheese
- Corn muffin mix (like Jiffy corn muffin mix) or your favorite cornbread mix
- Creamed corn (cream-style corn)
- Whole kernel corn (or fresh corn cut off cob for that sweet corn flavor)
- Eggs
- Melted Butter
- Sugar (optional)

Green beans and potatoes in crockpot is one of those easy crockpot recipes.
You can make this as a green bean recipe with bacon or with leftover Thanksgiving ham the day after.
Or, you can leave out the meat and make it as a vegetarian crock pot recipe.
RECIPE TIP: You can use canned green beans or fresh green beans, but in the recipe printable I talk about my absolute favorite green beans to use for this recipe and I think it makes a huge difference in flavor!
To make slow cooker green beans and potatoes, you’ll need:
