Harriet Tubman and Underground Railroad Free Printables

Harriet TubmanMarch is Women in History Month and March 10th is Harriet Tubman Day. So, we chose Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad as one of our study components for the month.

Harriet Tubman is such an important woman in history. Through the Underground Railroad, Harriet Tubman helped thousands of slaves escape. She famously said, “I freed thousands of slaves, and could have freed thousands more, if they had known they were slaves.”

This study session really touched my daughter during our homeschool studies. She will randomly bring up Harriet Tubman or compare other things to her like, “Mommy, that’s like when Harriet Tubman helped people.” If you haven’t yet, I strongly encourage you to study her with your kids (even if you don’t homeschool). I think she’s an amazing role model for girls and young women, too!
